The Baycurrent Classic is the only regular PGA Tour stop played in Japan, co-sanctioned with the Japan Golf Tour, which makes it the one week a year when a full field of tour professionals is on a Japanese course. It runs as part of the FedExCup Fall. The tournament began in 2019 as the ZOZO Championship at Narashino Country Club in Chiba, where Tiger Woods won the first edition for his 82nd PGA Tour title. One year was played in California when travel was closed. In 2025 the title sponsor changed and the event became the Baycurrent Classic, moving west across Tokyo Bay to Yokohama Country Club in Kanagawa. Spectator numbers are capped and tickets sell out, so this is not a turn-up-on-the-day event. Practice rounds earlier in the week are cheaper and far easier to walk than the weekend.

## FAQ

### When is the Baycurrent Classic?

October, Thursday to Sunday. In 2026 it runs from the 8th to the 11th at Yokohama Country Club. The exact week moves with the PGA Tour calendar, so check the tour schedule for the year you are travelling.

### Is this the same tournament as the ZOZO Championship?

Yes. It ran as the ZOZO Championship at Narashino Country Club in Chiba from 2019. The title sponsor changed in 2025 and the tournament moved to Yokohama Country Club in Kanagawa.

### Which day is best to attend?

A practice round early in the week if you want to get close to players and walk the course freely. Sunday for the finish, but it is the most crowded and the most expensive.
