  1. 1. Add destinations

Browse destinations, choose a trip and day, and add the places you want to visit.

  2. 2. Set dates and budget

Choose your travel dates and a rough budget; the planner tracks estimated costs as you add stops.

  3. 3. Build a day-by-day plan

Arrange your stops into days so you know what to see when, and how it all fits together.

  4. 4. Share and discover

Choose who can see your trip, share it with friends, or browse other travellers' public trips for ideas.

Trip planner FAQ

Is the Japan Voyage trip planner free?

Yes. The trip planner is free to use with a Japan Voyage account; there is no charge to build, save, or share an itinerary.

Do I need an account to plan a trip?

You choose a sample itinerary or a blank trip and your dates first. To save it, you create a free account and confirm your email address; the trip is waiting when you sign in.

Can I plan a trip without choosing exact venues yet?

Yes. Pick a general area (like Hokkaido or the Fuji region) and your dates, then decide the specific venues later, on your own or with your group.

Can I share my itinerary with friends?

Yes. Anyone can open a public trip. Friends-only trips are visible to your friends, and private trips only to you and the trip's participants, so check the visibility before you share the link.

Does it cover golf, skiing, and sightseeing?

Yes. You can add golf courses, ski resorts, and travel destinations to the same trip, so a mixed Japan itinerary lives in one place.
